For Destination Africa at the Calgary Zoo, our lead scenic artist, Dana Schnirer worked closely with the architectural firm, BKDI, conducted her own research for the project, and developed a design that achieved the unique finish as requested by the project.

Our scope ranged from construction of various log and thatched roof buildings, to creating texture and movement in exterior stucco by adding cementitious materials and scenic paint to creating an interior rainforest and African Village.
